Mega Food Park is being set up by Sikaria Mega Food Park Pvt. Ltd., a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) promoted by experienced and successful professionals in the area of construction and infrastructure development, food processing, and Self Help Group of farmers.
The idea behind setting up a Mega food park is to develop a fully integrated food processing facility to minimize wastages arising due to lack of infrastructure and other facilities to provide facilities for efficient procurement of raw materials, better prices for the farmers to reduce their hardships, better quality products, effective supply chain system with vertical and horizontal linkages and more employment generation in the core and non core sectors.
It has been observed that there is serious lack of infrastructure facilities at various stages beginning with the raw materials procurement from the farmers to the final food processing in the hands of the producers. To curb these issues, Mega Food Park proposed the 3 tier storage and processing facilities at different stages of food processing namely – Collection Centers(CCs), Primary Processing Centre (PPCs) and Center processing Centre(CPC). These facilities will ensure timely collection, storage and processing of food articles.

To provide the best infrastructure, storage and end-to-end solutions for the food processing industry in the state of Tripura through empowerment of the farmer, reduction of losses, improvement in product quality, regular supply of raw materials to food processors at better prices for both farmers and processors by reducing middlemen and efficient transportation and logistics facilities.
Mega Food Park aims to be the model infrastructure provider to the food processing industry in India by adopting global best practices, high-end technology and providing end-to-end linkage to the food processing sector. The company shares the same vision as of Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India to increase level of processing of perishable food, higher value addition of food items and share in global food trade.
